OnePlus 6 First Update Starts Rolling out, here's What it Offers ??



Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus recently launched its flagship smartphone OnePlus 6. The company has now started rolling the very first new update for the new flagship smartphone. The update brings the May security patch to the smartphone along with ability to hide the notch on the screen.

First spotted by GSMArena, the first update for OnePlus 6 brings the security patch for the month of May and support for super slow motion videos (480fps at 720p, and 240fps at 1080p). Moreover, after the update the users will also be able to toggle between hiding or showing the display notch. The other features included in the update are Quick Capture for portrait mode which opens the camera and immediately clicks a photo when a user double tap on the power button.

With this update, the company has also updated the Gallery app which offers more options to access the recently deleted files. It is a gradual OTA update and will reach all the OnePlus devices soon.



To recall, the OnePlus 6 comes with a 6.28-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED screen with 1080x2260 pixel resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top.

The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The device offers 64GB and 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The OnePlus 6 runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and the smartphone will also receive Android P update.

In terms of camera, the smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup. The handset features a 16MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and Sony IMX519 sensor and a 20MP secondary camera with Sony IM376K sensors. The company claims that the camera is capable of shooting slow motion videos at 480fps in HD resolution. The front of the device houses a 16MP selfie camera with Sony IMX371 sensor.
