NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all geared up for its big ticket launch event on May 31. The company has already revealed that it will be launching a flagship smartphone Mi 8 at the event along with its custom UI, the MIUI 10. Now, the company’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that Xiaomi will also launch the Mi Band 3 at the event.

Last month, Lei Jun was spotted at the Black Shark Gaming Phone launch with a band. The company's CEO has now confirmed that it was the Mi Band 3 only and that he has been testing the device from past two three months.

The Mi Band 3 is said to come with a large full-touch 2.5D curved glass display with no physical button. Users will just have to slide the screen up and down in order to view time, heart rate, steps and other things.

According to some earlier reports, it is also expected that Xiaomi will also launch various other products at the event. It is expected that the company might also launch the Mi Router 4 and other accessories.

It was also reported that the company is also selling tickets for the event which are priced around 799 Yuan and 1,999 Yuan. The event seems to be a big affair for Xiaomi as the company is claimed to have decided a venue that could seat around 5,000 people.

Recently, Xiaomi started sending media invites for its launch event in Delhi. The company has scheduled a launch event for June 7, where it is expected to unveil the Redmi S2 smartphone.
