The Huawei Watch 2 (2018) comes in three variants. Huawei
has launched its latest version of smart wearable dubbed as the Huawei
Watch 2 (2018) with support for eSIM technology in China. This means,
users will be able to make and receive calls on the Watch 2 (2018)
independently without the need to be paired to their Android phone.
However, note that all telecom operators do not offer support for eSim.

In India, only Airtel Postpaid and Reliance Jio had recently released support for eSIM technology for the newly launched Apple
Watch 3 Cellular. Also, there is no word on whether the Huawei Watch 2
(2018) will be launched in India or not and whether Indian telecom
operators will support it or not. For those unaware, note that there are
different telecom bands in different regions globally. So, if you plan
to buy a smartwatch with eSIM technology from outside India, there is no
guarantee that the voice calling feature will work when in India. The
classic example of this is the Apple Watch 3 Cellular. The US model of
Apple Watch 3 Cellular is not supported in India.

Coming back to the Huawei Watch 2
(2018), the device offers a heart rate monitor along with other sensors
for fitness tracking. There is Huawei Pay support as well, which is
again not launched in India. The Huawei Watch 2 (2018) comes in three
variants- Watch 2 (2018) with eSIM costs CNY 1,988 (around Rs 21,000),
Watch 2 (2018) with nano 4G SIM card at CNY 1,888 (around Rs 20,000) and
the regular Bluetooth version at CNY 1,688 (around Rs 18,000). It is
powered by Android Wear OS.
