Online shoppers, Amazon has an offer for you as it turns 5 in India
The world's top ecommerce website Amazon is today celebrating its 5th anniversary in the country. The company launched its India operations, Amazon.in, on June 5, 2013. To mark its fifth anniversary in the country, the e-tailer is offering users a cashback of Rs 250. The cashback is valid on all purchases worth Rs 1,000 or higher made today. To avail the Rs 250 cashback, users need to make the purchase using any digital payment method. This means that the offer is not valid on any cash on delivery (COD) purchase. The Rs 250 will be credited to the buyers' Amazon Pay Balance once the transaction is complete.

The offer is also valid only For Today.

On the occasion, the company's founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has also shared a letter on the Amazon India's website.

In the letter he has thanked all Amazon India customers for their support and for making Amazon the most visited shopping website in the country for the last two years. Bezos wrote, "We're five years into our journey, but as we say here at Amazon its still Day 1, and I'm energized and humbled by the opportunities ahead Amazon.in is "India ki apni dukaan."

He further added, “Amazon ships packages from more than 50 fulfillment locations in 13 states and our teams are becoming part of many local communities from providing lighting for rural homes to assisting with local environmental projects.”

Since its launch in the year 2013, Amazon has also introduced its various products and services in the country. The e-tailer now offers services like Amazon Prime video, Amazon Prime delivery, Amazon Now, Amazon Music, Amazon Kindles, Amazon Echo and Amazon Fire Stick TV in India.
