Vivo Y83 with Android 8.1 launched in India for Rs 14,990



 
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of Vivo Y83 smartphone in India. The company launched the same smartphone in China last week.

Price and availability
The company has priced the Vivo Y83 for Rs 14,990 and it is available on all the leading offline stores in country in Black colour option.

Specifications
The Vivo Y83 comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ screen with 720x1520 pixel resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The company claims that the smartphone comes with narrow bezels and 88% screen-to-body ratio.

The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system topped with the company’s own customised layer of UI -- FunTouch OS. The handset is powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.




The dual-SIM smartphone flaunts a glossy mirror finish back panel and comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor. The Vivo Y83 sports 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. There’s also an 8MP front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies. The company said that the front camera comes with AI beauty features and users can also use it to unlock their smartphone.

Measuring 155.21x 75.24 x 7.7mm, the smartphone is backed by a 3,260 mAh battery and offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 8, Bluetooth 5 and GPS as connectivity options.

Recently, Vivo launched its flagship smartphone X21 in India. Priced at Rs 35,990, the Vivo X21.
