Xiaomi's Upcoming Selfie-Centric Smartphone To Be Amazon Exclusive ?

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is going to launch its a new smartphone in India next week. As per the latest development, it has been revealed that the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone will be Amazon exclusive.
The device has been listed on Amazon India website with the hashtag #FindYourSelfie, what the company has been using to tease about the phone since a couple of days.

As per the Amazon webpage, it has been revealed that the soon-to-launched device will come with a dual rear camera setup, a dedicated LED, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

From the webpage, it can be inferred that the camera is going to be the highlight of the upcoming device. It is also being speculated the this handset is going to be the successor of its selfie-centric smartphone, Redmi Y1, which was launched last year.

On a related news, Xiaomi held its annual conference in its home country and launched as many as seven products. The army of devices, that were launched include three smartphones which are Xiaomi Mi 8 which is the flagship smartphone by the company for 2018, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE which is a small screen version of the Mi 8. Xiaomi also launched its newest smartphone UI MIUI 10, Mi Band 3, a 75-inch Mi TV 4 and a Mi VR headset.

The flagship Xiaomi Mi 8 sports a 6.21-inch full screen AMOLED display from Samsung with FHD+ (2248x1080 pixels) resolution. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the smartphone runs on MIUI 10 that claims to make the device snappy and boasts a bunch of AI-based features.

Phishing and malware-based attacks are the most prolific online fraud tactics globally and India is one of the top three target countries for such attacks, says a report. According to the RSA Quarterly Fraud Report for the period between January 1 to March 31, 2018, phishing accounted for 48 per cent of all cyber-attacks. The report that contains fraud attack and consumer fraud data and analysis, noted that Canada, the United States, India and Brazil were the countries most targeted by phishing.
