Nokia May Launch A Snapdragon 710-based Phone Soon !!

It looks like Qualcomm's newly announced chipset Snapdragon 710 is already a hit with the smartphone makers. Earlier today, we reported that that Google was working on a mid-range Pixel phone based on Snapdragon 710 that would be launched in 2019. And now, word on the street is that HMD Global, the company which holds the rights to manufacture phones under brand Nokia, is planning a smartphone of its own that will be powered by the same processor.
The latest rumour comes from the German scoop-master Roland Quandt, who earlier spilled the beans about Google's upcoming smartphone. Quandt in a tweet on Monday revealed that HMD Global was working on a Snapdragon 2018-based device that would be released around winter this year. As per his tweet, Nokia's Snapdragon 710-based smartphone has been codenamed Phoenix. "HMD/Nokia Mobile is working on a Snapdragon 710-based device to be released in the autumn/winter 2018 timeframe. Codename is "Phoenix"," he Quandt wrote in his tweet.

Quandt revealed that the search engine giant's upcoming device has been codenamed "Bonito". The rumoured phone, as mentioned earlier, would be launched in the first quarter of 2019, which is contrary to previous reports which suggested that Google could launch a mid-range Pixel phone along with a Pixelbook laptop, Google Home smart speaker and smart home automation products in India in August this year.

SDM710 has been manufactured using 10nm technology and it is 20 per cent more power efficient and 25 per cent faster than Snapdragon 660 processor.
Apart from featuring a multi-core AI Engine, SDM710 is the first processor outside its premium 800-tier chipset that features 4K HDR playback along with cutting-edge features which include advanced Wi-Fi technology, Bluetooth 5, and Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus. It also features the company's proprietary Quick Charge 4+ technology which can charge up to 50 per cent battery in just 15 minutes.
